The House of Representatives member-elect representing Kano Municipal, Sagir Koki on Sunday mimicked the conversation between the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi, with the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo.
An online news platform, on Saturday, had released an audio alleged to be the conversation between Obi and Oyedepo.
In the audio, Obi was heard begging Oyedepo to help him mobilise Christian voters ahead of the election.
The voice believed to be of the former governor of Anambra State kept saying ‘Yes Daddy’ while the conversation lasted.
He had stated, “Daddy, I need you to speak to your people in the South-West and Kwara, the Christians in the South-West and Kwara. This is a religious war. Like I keep saying: if this works, you people will never regret the support.”
The Labour Party (LP) has, however, denied any link to the viral phone conversation.
The party accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of sponsoring propaganda to discredit its presidential candidate.
Koki who presented his Certificate of Return to the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso mimicked Obi.
The lawmaker-elect who shared a picture showing him presenting his certificate of return to the former governor of Kano State wrote on his Twitter account, “Thank You, Daddy, Yess Daddy ❤️🙏”
