Latest Npower News: HM Sadiya Farouq Provides Insight into the Future of the Npower Program in Press Briefing”
During a recent press briefing on the Npower Program, HM Sadiya Farouq, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development, provided insights into the program’s future. The Npower program is a major component of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) designed to reduce poverty and create employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
As an initiative of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Npower program will continue under the incoming APC government, according to Minister Farouq. The program has been instrumental in equipping young Nigerians with lifelong skills that enable them to become entrepreneurs and problem solvers in their communities.

- Npower management is making efforts to ensure all Npower Batch C2 beneficiaries’ stipend payments are cleared. Beneficiaries who fail to report to their PPA will have their payments put on hold for 45 days.
- Npower has sent out account validation messages to beneficiaries of batches C1 and C2 to claim their unpaid stipends. Some Npower C2 beneficiaries are facing difficulties in accessing the validation link, which the technical team is currently working to address.
- The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs has reportedly said that they have given the first set of Nexit beneficiaries 3 million each after their training. However, there has been no official confirmation from Npower regarding the authenticity of this information.
- There has been no new information provided by Npower regarding the promised work nation for exited Npower Batch C1 beneficiaries. However, Batch C1 beneficiaries are currently enjoying the Minister’s generosity with a 3-month stipend payment.

- It is important for Npower Batch C2 beneficiaries who have not yet validated their account details to do so promptly before the deadline. Failure to validate their account details may result in non-payment of stipends.
- The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has inaugurated a Handing Over Notes, Collation and Transition Committee, in line with the Presidential Transition Council directive. This committee will collate and develop the Handing Over Notes of the entire Humanitarian Sector and come up with a Transition Plan to enable the Ministry interface with the Presidential Transition Council.
