Plateau State University Admission Requirements

PLASU accepts students into undergraduate programs through the UTME entry and Direct Entry methods. Here are the admission requirements:

PLASU Admission Requirements through UTME:

  • Candidates must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 6 (six) “Cs” (Credits) in their O’level grades, including English language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects for their chosen field of study. For example, candidates interested in studying Law must have a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
  • Candidates must score a minimum of 170 in the JAMB UTME exam.
  • Candidates must participate in the PLASU post-UTME screening test and achieve a high score (varying based on the chosen field of study) for consideration.
  • Admission into PLASU is based on the result of a single sitting.
  • Candidates must select the appropriate subject combination for their chosen courses.
  • Lastly, applicants must meet the required cutoff scores for their courses to be admitted to the university.

PLASU Admission Requirements through Direct Entry:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in their O’level results, including Mathematics and English. Multiple sitting results are not allowed.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
  • Candidates must obtain a JAMB Direct Entry form to apply.
  • Candidates must possess any of the following certificates: Cambridge, OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, ICAN, BSc, HND, or A levels.
