The National Association of Resident Doctor’s NARD has called off the nationwide strike action imposed on Monday.
NARD president Dr Aliyu Sokomba made this known on Thursday evening.
During a meeting which took place on Wednesday between the Doctors and the federal government, NARD had said they will suspend the strike after liasing with the executive council, which they’ve now done.
The federal government after the meeting had disclosed that an additional N8.9bn has been set aside to pay up a major portion of the June 2020 Covid-19 allowance to health workers across the country.
