Governor Soludo offers Scholarship to 2023 UTME highest Scorer at Anambra University
Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, has awarded a full-ride scholarship to Umeh Kamsiyochukwu Precious, the top scorer in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). Miss Umeh, hailing from Anambra State, achieved an impressive total score of 360, making her the highest scorer in the examination, as announced by JAMB.
In a statement released by Mr. Christian Aburime, the chief press secretary to Governor Soludo, the governor praised Miss Umeh for bringing pride to the state through her exceptional academic performance. As a result, he offered her a scholarship to pursue any course of her choice at the esteemed Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State.
The statement expressed Governor Soludo’s celebration of Miss Umeh’s achievement and stated, “The scholarship will not only serve as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work but also provide her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future.”
During an interview on Arise TV, Miss Umeh shared the study techniques she employed to attain her remarkable score of 360/400. She revealed that her school, Deeper Life High School in Mowe, Ogun State, had implemented measures to support her studies. Miss Umeh stated that she started her JAMB preparation months before the exam, attended various preparatory classes, completed numerous practice tests, solved past questions, and even received time management training at school.
She further explained that she dedicated six hours daily to studying, utilizing mornings, afternoons, and nights during study periods to cover the required material.
