Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid, with the left back undergoing a medical in the Spanish capital on Thursday.
The 23 year old was named the best left back in LaLiga while on loan with Sevilla last season.
Real Madrid have Brazilian International Marcelo and France’s Ferland Mendy in their ranks and feel they have sufficient cover in the left back position, plus the club is desperate to raise funds to balance their books.
Reguilon could be joined at Spurs by Real teammate Gareth Bale with a loan deal for the Welsh winger reportedly close to being agreed.Tottenham In Talks To Sign Gareth Bale
Manchester united, Chelsea and Everton all held an interest in signing Reguilon with the Merseyside club making an £18m bid back in July.
The recently capped Spanish International won the Europa league last season with Sevilla beating Inter Milan in the final by a solitary goal.
