Access Bank has unveiled the 2025 edition of its Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton programme, an initiative designed to support female entrepreneurs across Africa with training, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
Applications for the programme opened on Friday, September 19, 2025, and will close on Friday, October 3, 2025. Women business owners are encouraged to apply ahead of the deadline via the official portal: thewcommunity.com/womenpreneur.
At the launch event in Lagos, Nene Kunle-Ogunlusi, Group Head, Women Banking at Access Bank, highlighted the impact of the programme since its inception in 2019.
“This year, the program is back and better, offering women entrepreneurs the opportunity to scale their businesses, gain visibility, and connect with like-minded trailblazers across the continent,” she said.
The 2025 edition includes an intensive Mini-MBA programme in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), designed to provide participants with practical tools and strategies to build sustainable businesses.
In addition, grants worth over ₦17.5 million will be awarded to outstanding businesses, while other finalists will receive consolation prizes and support services aimed at strengthening their operations.
Oyeyipo Ifeoluwa, Project Manager of Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton, said the programme has trained 878 women and awarded grants worth $175,000 since its launch.
“The programme is not just about competition; it is a holistic journey designed to transform women-led businesses and contribute to Africa’s economic development,” she added.
The initiative is open to women entrepreneurs who own at least 50 percent shareholding in their businesses, which must be registered and have operated for more than one year.
