Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo has tragically passed away in a boat accident.
It was gathered that the 39-year-old actor was returning from a film shoot in Anambra state with three colleagues when their boat encountered mishap and capsized in the Anam River.
The bodies of the actor and his colleagues have been recovered from the river.
Just the day before the accident, Junior Pope had shared a video of himself on the boat, offering prayers for a safe journey. Little did he know that fate had a tragic turn in store.
In the video, he lamented the risks involved in the entertainment industry, particularly the perilous crossings without life jackets. He wrote”
“See me lamenting……The risk we take to entertain you ; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…… Na wahoooooo …. Who does that ?”
Junior Pope Odonwodo’s untimely death leaves behind his wife and three children, casting a shadow of grief over the Nollywood community and his fans alike.
