Popular Nollywood actor Yomi Alore, better known by his stage name Yomi Gold, announced his split from his 15-year marriage to actress Ameenat Abisola, better known by her stage name Meenah.
Goldennewsng reports that this comes just a few months after he secretly married the actress in January 2022.
Remember that Yomi married the upcoming actress Ameenat in a private location without phones or cameras after his 15-year marriage, which had produced two children, and they welcomed a child in April.
Yomi, who stated that he is far from perfect and is still in the process of becoming a better person, announced the end of his second marriage in a post on his official Instagram page on Tuesday. He also stated that his now-ex-wife deserves a better man.
“Meenah and I made the decision to split up. I want everyone’s understanding, including our loved ones and fans. Judgment is not appropriate now. No one should attempt to force love to end.
“I need to utilize this second to thank each and every individual who was extremely strong and concerned. Meenah is not deserving of a man of my caliber. She has a good character. She will make a wonderful and loving partner for someone who is far superior to me. I will work on myself to become a better person, even though I am not perfect.
“We want everyone who knows about us to be aware of our decision, so this has to be published.”
