The Nigerian Super Eagles secured victory in their second Group A match against Cote d’Ivoire with a lone goal. The decisive moment came in the 54th minute when a penalty was awarded to the Eagles after Victor Osimhen was brought down in the Ivorian defense box.

Defender William Troost-Ekong successfully converted the awarded penalty, securing the lone goal and earning the Eagles three points in the match.
