Maintaining continuity from the round of 16 clash against Cameroon, Peseiro plans to adhere to the successful 3-4-3 formation that secured victories over Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, and Cameroon.
Initially starting with a 4-3-3 formation in the tournament’s kickoff against Equatorial Guinea, resulting in a 1-1 draw, Peseiro adapted by switching to the 3-4-3 formation for subsequent matches, leading to improved outcomes.
The same formation is set to be employed against Angola at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan. Barring unforeseen circumstances or fitness issues, Stanley Nwabali has been confirmed fit to play in goal.
The defensive lineup features vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, and Calvin Bassey, while Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi take up the right and left-wing back positions to maintain a solid defense.
