ABU Admission Requirements Through UTME:
Candidates aspiring to secure admission to Ahmadu Bello University through UTME in the academic year 2023 must meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must be 16 years of age or older.
- A minimum of six (6) “Cs (Credits)” is required in the O’level result(s). These should include English and Mathematics, as well as three additional subjects relevant to the chosen course of study. For example, a candidate aiming for a law program must obtain a “C” in English Language, Mathematics, Government/History, Economics, and English Literature.
- Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 120 in the JAMB UTME exam.
- It is mandatory for candidates to take the ABU post-UTME screening test and perform exceptionally well, depending on their desired degree program.
- Only one set of results will be accepted when applying to Ahmadu Bello University.
- Candidates must select the appropriate subject combination for their chosen courses.
- Finally, applicants must meet the required cutoff scores for their respective courses to secure admission to the university.
ABU Admission Requirements through Direct Entry:
To gain direct entry admission to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
- Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in their O’level results, which must include Mathematics and English. Multiple sittings are not allowed.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
- To apply, candidates need to obtain a JAMB Direct Entry form from JAMB.
- Candidates should possess any of the following certificates: Cambridge, OND, ND, NCE, IJMB, ICAN, BSc, HND, or A levels.
