As a result of the economic difficulty that was caused by the corona virus lock down Nigerians in the creative industry consisting of actors and actresses, musicians, producers and all those associated with the creative industry have come together to form a committee.
The purposes of the committee is to ensure that they negotiate with the Nigerian government to get support for the creative industry. The government of Nigeria have pledged to support all sectors of the economy to enable them recover from the damage done as a result of the corona virus pandemic.
For more than one month, business activities, producing, cinemas,and many aspect of the creative industry was paralyzed due to the lock down imposed by the Nigerian government to stop the spread of the corona virus.
The committee has also selected the comedian Alibaba to be their chairman to mobilize other stakeholders in the industry an lead them. DJ Jimmy Jazz was also named as a key member of the team.
He had been at the fore front of calling on the creative industry to take drastic steps to help their members who are facing difficulties from the economic downturn caused by the over one month lock down.
