Titan Submarine Passengers have been confirmed dead.

According to a report from Newsone, officials have disclosed that the Titan submersible suffered a devastating collapse while descending to explore the Titanic wreckage, resulting in the loss of all five passengers on board. The US Coast Guard, as per information obtained by this online news platform, announced on June 22, 2023, that various fragments of the Titan were discovered in a scattered formation around 1600 feet away from the Titanic’s bow, resting on the seabed.

The individuals aboard the Titan were OceanGate Expeditions founder and CEO Stockton Rush, British billionaire Hamish Harding, renowned French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, and his 19-year-old son Suleman. OceanGate Inc expressed their condolences in a statement, stating, “During this tragic time, our thoughts are with these five individuals and their families. We mourn the loss of their lives and the happiness they brought to everyone who knew them.”

“These men exemplified true explorers, sharing a unique spirit of adventure and a profound dedication to the exploration and preservation of our world’s oceans.” The exact time and location of the Titan’s implosion remain uncertain; however, the Coast Guard noted that sonar buoys might have detected the event had they been in place.

The Titan began its descent on Sunday morning but lost communication with its surface vessel approximately one hour and forty-five minutes into the submersion.

Pakistan Foreign Ministry speaks out on the tragic loss of two of its citizens

The Pakistani foreign ministry expressed its sympathies to the Dawood family, including Shahzada and Suleman Dawood, as well as the other individuals who perished in the Titan submersible incident. Hussaini Dawood, the family’s patriarch, is widely regarded as one of the most reputable employers in Pakistan. In a statement shared on Twitter, the ministry conveyed their heartfelt condolences, stating, “We extend our deepest sympathies to the Dawood family and the families of other passengers affected by the tragic news concerning the fate of the Titanic submersible in the North Atlantic. We acknowledge and appreciate the collaborative international efforts made in the search for the vessel over the past few days.”

James Cameron, director of Titanic movie, speaks out on the tragedy

James Cameron, the renowned Hollywood director of the movie Titanic, has expressed his strong views regarding the recent tragedy involving the Titan submersible. Cameron, who had personally visited the Titanic wreckage multiple times for research purposes, did not hesitate to criticize OceanGate’s CEO and captain, Stockton Rush. Drawing parallels between the present incident and the original disaster in 1912, Cameron highlighted the disregard for safety warnings exhibited by both captains.

OceanGate statement on the death of Titan Submarine Passengers

OceanGate has issued the following statement: “We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.

These men were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans. Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew. “This is an extremely sad time for our dedicated employees who are exhausted and grieving deeply over this loss. The entire OceanGate family is deeply grateful for the countless men and women from multiple organizations of the international community who expedited wide-ranging resources and have worked so very hard on this mission.

We appreciate their commitment to finding these five explorers, and their days and nights of tireless work in support of our crew and their families.

“This is a very sad time for the entire explorer community, and for each of the family members of those lost at sea.

We respectfully ask that the privacy of these families be respected during this most painful time.”
