Boko Haram reportedly invaded the town of Magumeri in Borno state causing residents to abandon their homes as the insurgents razed down all in their path.
Intel from SaharaReporters gathered that Boko Haram razed down the only functional telecommunications mast, a hospital recently equipped by the Borno State Government and other facilities in the town.
One of the fleeing residents explained that the ordeal began when Boko Haram invaded the community at about 4pm on Monday while the military airstrike engaged them, but to no avail.
One casualty has been reported this far, a woman who was caught in the crossfire, others were reported seriously injured.
Magumeri is about 40km drive from Maiduguri, the state capital, which has witnessed series of Boko Haram attacks.
