Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has been suspended by the State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress APC.
A statement issued on Friday by the party said, the governor was suspended due to his numerous anti-party activities, especially his role in Saturday’s Governorship Election in Edo State, which is contrary to the provisions of Article 21 (A) (ii) of the APC constitution.
The governor was also said to have hosted Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, a People’s Democratic Party PDP stalwart, five days before the Edo Election in Ado-Ekiti and planned a coup against the Edo APC.
In another allegation, Governor Fayemi was accused of supporting the PDP candidate in the Oyo State Governorship election to defeat the APC candidate.
