The Federal Ministry of Education is delighted to announce the commencement of the 2024 Federal Government Bursary Award aimed at eligible Nigerian students enrolled in tertiary institutions.

Overview

  • The FSB Bursary Award provides an annual cash prize of N150,000.00 to successful applicants who are duly registered students of Nigerian universities or colleges of education.
  • The Federal Ministry of Education extends an invitation to interested and qualified Nigerians to partake in the 2023/2024 Education Bursary Award (EBA) program, which is tenable in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This scholarship opportunity is available to students enrolled in registered Nigerian universities and colleges of education, commencing from their second year of study onwards, with no exclusions based on disability status.

Application Process

  • Prospective applicants are urged to seize this opportunity by applying promptly to access the bursary.
  • To be eligible for the FSB Bursary 2024, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
    • Be registered students pursuing an Education program in Nigerian Colleges of Education and Universities.
    • Maintain full-time enrollment status at their respective institutions.
    • All applicants, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), should be in their second year or higher.
    • Must not currently benefit from any existing scholarship schemes.

Benefits

  • The FSB Bursary Award constitutes a N150,000 fund granted annually to all qualified recipients.
  • Recipients may renew the award each year until their graduation from the college or university where they are enrolled.

  • Certificate of State of Origin
  • National Identity Number (NIN)
  • CGPA Result (Academic Transcript)

Qualified candidates are advised to adhere to the following steps when applying for the FSB Bursary Award:

  1. Visit the Federal Ministry of Education’s official website.
  2. Navigate to the Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the Home Page.
  3. Select the Federal Education Bursary Award (EBA) option.
  4. Read the provided guidelines thoroughly before completing the online Application Form.
  5. Print a copy of the completed application form for reference purposes.
  6. Note that duplicate entries will result in disqualification.
