StarNews Mobile, in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Global Black Economic Forum (GBEF), is thrilled to announce a new business competition for Nigerian entrepreneurs.

This competition offers a golden opportunity for SMEs and startups in Nigeria to secure funding, mentorship, and business support to elevate their entrepreneurial ventures.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in this competition, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Nigerian Ownership: The business should be at least 50% Nigerian-owned and operated.
  • Registration: The business must be registered in Nigeria with a valid Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) certificate.
  • Operational Scope: Business activities should primarily take place in Africa.
  • Online Presence: The business must have a web or social media presence with a minimum of 1,000 followers.
  • Operational History: The business must have been formally operating for at least two years and show at least two years of consecutive turnover.
  • Impact: The business should generate positive impacts for Africa by contributing directly to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
