Apply now for the 2025 Presidential Amnesty Programme, following the guidelines below.

 

GoldenNewsNg reports that the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has opened applications for its Formal Education Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic session. This initiative is part of the programme’s core mandate to reintegrate ex-agitators into society and promote sustainable development in the Niger Delta.

The scholarship offers a fully funded opportunity for eligible candidates to pursue tertiary education in selected Nigerian institutions.

Over the years, the PAP scholarship has empowered many beneficiaries through education, helping them unlock their potential and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic growth of the region. Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be from any of the following Niger Delta states:
    Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ondo, Imo, or Rivers.

  • Be at least 16 years old.

For Undergraduate Applicants:

  • Must have taken the 2025 UTME (JAMB).

  • Must be new entrants admitted into 100-level for the 2025/2026 academic year.

  • Applicants awaiting WAEC/NECO results are not eligible.

  • Must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5/5.0 or 2.0/4.0 to continue benefiting from the scholarship.

  • Must not be involved in any misconduct or provide false information. Violations will lead to immediate withdrawal of the scholarship.

Documents You’ll Need

Applicants must upload clear copies of the following:

  • WAEC/NECO O’Level Result (Minimum of 5 credits, including English and Mathematics)

  • 2025 UTME (JAMB) Result

  • Local Government Identification Letter

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates may be required to participate in:

  • A written aptitude test

  • An oral interview

Details will be communicated directly to shortlisted applicants.

Deadline to Apply

The application window closes on August 8, 2025.
Late applications will not be considered.
