In a recent statement by Force Information Officer, Captain Ibrahim Yahaya, it was reported that troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Hadarin Daji, have achieved significant success in the ongoing dry season clearance operations between Zamfara and Katsina States. The operations were commanded by Major-General Godwin Mutkut, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division of the Nigerian Army.
On the same day, troops of Operation Hadarin Daji, engaged in operations within Zamfara State, carried out a search and rescue mission in Dansadau and Dandalla villages, located in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
In the course of the search and rescue operation at Dansadau and Dandalla villages in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, troops of Operation Hadarin Daji successfully rescued nine kidnapped victims. Among those rescued were five women and four babies.
Force Information Officer, Captain Ibrahim Yahaya, reported that the terrorists abandoned the victims and fled after engaging in a gun duel with the resilient troops. The rescued victims were promptly reunited with their families in Magami, Zamfara State.
Major-General Godwin Mutkut, the Commander of Operation Hadarin Daji, commended the efforts of the troops and encouraged them to maintain the high level of dedication and effectiveness in their operations. This successful rescue operation reinforces the commitment of the military to securing the safety of the civilian population and combating criminal elements in the region.
