Aston Villa have signed Ross Barkley on a season long loan from Chelsea, the club have announced.
The England International becomes Villa’s fifth signing of the window, following the acquisition of Ollie Watkins, Bertrand Traore, Emiliano Martinez and Matty Cash.

Barkley made 31 appearances in all competitions for the blues last season but struggled to hold a regular starting place amid competition from Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus Cheek.
Villa have made a strong start to the season winning all four of their matches so far and are looking to consolidate on their premier league status.
