Atiku’s Aide Faults ECOWAS Over Resolutions On Niger Republic

Daniel Bwala, an aide of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has faulted the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) over the resolutions on Niger Republic.

Goldennewsng reported that the President of ECOWAS, Omar Alieu Touray, had said the regional bloc had ordered its standby force to restore constitutional order in Niger Republic..

Touray stated that the regional bloc maintained a stand against the military government in Niger and directed immediate enforcement and monitoring of sanctions on the military junta.

He added that ECOWAS underscores its continued commitment to the restoration of constitutional order through peaceful means.

Reacting to the development in a Twitter post on Friday, Bwala said the ‘flip flop’ of ECOWAS is legendary following the summit of the regional bloc.

He wrote: “Pythagoras’ theorem.

“THE FOREIGN POLICY FLIP FLOP OF ECOWAS IS LEGENDARY. They are presently between the devil and deep blue sea. Retweet till it gets to them.”
