An Arise TV cameraman was kicked out of Bola Tinubu’s event in Lagos state for reasons explained by the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC).
Goldennewsng reports that Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media and Publicity for the APC-PCC, clarified the situation in a tweet.
An Arise TV cameraman was escorted out of a Tinubu-related event in Lagos by the APC-PCC.
Onanuga had claimed that the journalist for Arise TV was on espionage and that no one had given him permission to live stream the event.
On the other hand, Onanuga has come out to explain why he was sent out amid mixed reactions to the act.
He stated that the event would be recorded and viewed later rather than streamed live.
“For clarity, the Tinubu-Shettima campaign is not against Arise TV covering its events,” Onanuga stated. The Lagos NESG conversation was not intended for live TV coverage. It would be recorded and presented later. Except for Arise News, no other television networks broke the rule. And it was carried out covertly. Why?”
