Biafra: why IPOB, MASSOB, others must stop agitation- group

The statement reads in part, “Nigeria as a nation and country is better united and remains as one indivisible entity. If divided or disintegrated, will lose its glory of diversity, economic, political-miltary- numerical-technical power and strength”.

“It is very unfortunate that this misguided agitation from these Igbo groups has adversely affected the peace-loving and hardworking Igbos doing their legitimate businesses all over Nigeria. So, of what basis will any well-meaning Igbo person call for secession and disintegration of Nigeria”.

“We condemn strongly the actions of those myopic and selfish “old brigade” leaders who are fraternizing with those against the unity, peace and the general interest of Nigeria in the guise of Igbo marginalization.

“What Igbos need at this moment is to strategize politically towards 2023; form strong alliances across the North and South to be fully involved in National engagements”.

The group also stated that “the threat by IPOB, MASSOB, others and their sponsors on secession are not in the best interest of Igbo people; hence such agitation for secession must be jettisoned forthwith.

“No true Igbo leader or patriot will clamor for Nigeria disintegration, but would rather seek for a united prosperous Nigeria.”
