The death toll from Boko Haram Attack on the convoy of the governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, has risen to 30, security sources said on Saturday.
It has been confirmed that the attack which occured on Friday in the restive Borno State, had 12 policemen, five soldiers, four members of a government-backed militia and nine civilians as casualties.

It has also been confirmed that the terrorists made away with eight vehicles – an armored personnel carrier, a gun truck and six sports utility vehicles.
I3 persons were said to have been injured in the attack but governor Zulum was unhurt.
The militant group has recently intensified attacks on military and civilian targets in the region.
In July governor Zulum’s convoy came under gun attack outside Baga, which resulted in the cancellation of his trip to the town.
The decade long insurgency in northeast Nigeria had resulted in the loss of 36,000 persons and forced no fewer than 2 million from their homes.
A majority of the displaced persons have been housed into squalid camps where they deepend on food handouts from charity organizations.
