Federal Government has extended the NIN-SIM linkage – See New Deadline below;
GoldenNewsNg reports that the NIN-SIM linkage exercise has now been extended till June 30, 2021.

Recall, GoldenNewsNg earlier reported that the NIMC registration deadline , the deadline for subscribers with the National Identification Number ( NIN ) to link with their mobile number has been postponed to April 6, 2021.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde; and the Head, Corporate Communications, National Identity Management Commission, Kayode Adegoke.
The minister, who has been under fore of late over his past pro-Taliban radical comments, was also said to have disclosed that 54 million SIM cards have been linked with NIN.

The NIMC said via its Twitter page, @nimc_ng, that the SIM can be linked to different telecommunication operators using these codes: MTN: *785#; Airtel: *121*1#; Glo: *109*NIN#; 9Moble: *200*8#.
