British Envoy, Ex-Anambra Gov Arrive In Court For Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial
Ahead of the commencement of the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, a British official in Nigeria has arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
GoldenNewsNg gathered that the former governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, also arrived at the court to witness the court sitting.
The British envoy arrived at the court around 8:03 am in a white Toyota Highlander, while Ezeife arrived in the company of Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
The secessionist was then arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date which is July 26 and 27.
The DSS however failed to produce the Biafra activist in court on the said date citing logistics reasons, hence the postponement of the trial to today.
Kanu, who holds British citizenship, is facing charges of treasonable felony and terrorism levelled against him by the Federal Government.
