For the upcoming academic years of 2022 and 2023, Benue State University is seeking qualified applicants for its preliminary science program.

Starting on Monday, December 19th, 2022.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY

Those wishing to enroll in the Preliminary Science Program must meet the following requirements:
(i) Candidates must have a NECO/WASSCE Certificate, a GCE Ordinary level or its equivalent, and Credit Passes in at least four subjects in a maximum of two sittings, three of which must be Core Science subjects (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology).
(ii) Admission is contingent solely on submitted results (no awaiting results).
(iii) Before being accepted into the undergraduate programs of their choice, applicants who have less than five (5) credits will eventually have to make up five (5) O’level credit passes in Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
(iv) Candidates will receive instruction on how to register for the JAMB exam and adequate coaching to ensure that they achieve the university management’s desired scores.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applications are available only on the online platform. Interested Candidates are to visit the Benue State University website www.bsum.edu.ng (under applications on the Benue State University portal section) click on Preliminary Science, complete the pre-registration information and submit. Once submitted, an application number will be given and a payment reference number will be generated, print a copy of the pre-registration form and proceed to designated banks with the printed copy of the pre-registration form and pay a non-refundable application fee of five thousand (5,000) naira only using the generated application and payment reference number.
After payment, applicants would be expected to re-visit the Benue State University portal under application and click on Preliminary Science to complete the application form and submit. Applicants should print a copy of the completed form, attach all relevant photocopies of credentials (Payment receipt, WASSCE and/or NECO Result(s), Local Government Certificate of Origin, Birth Certificate, 3 passport photographs) then submit to the Preliminary Science office.

Applications will close on Friday 24th February 2023.
