Veteran Nigerian entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has shared his thoughts on the brawl that occurred between the Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigerian Correctional Service (NcoS) over the custody of the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
Goldennewsng recalls that on Tuesday, a federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos, granted Emefiele N20 million bail and one surety in like sum.
Emefiele is facing charges bordering on “illegal possession of firearms”.
The presiding judge, Nicholas Oweibo, had ruled that Emefiele be remanded at the correctional centre, pending the fulfillment of his bail conditions.
However, DSS operatives insisted on taking Emefiele into their custody.
Heated arguments and an all-out brawl between personnel of both services ensued on the premises of the court.
The DSS later whisked the embattled apex bank chief away in their vehicle.
Reacting to the situation, Charly Boy berated the ruling party for disobeying the court order.
He said, “We never finish to talk about Nnamdi Kanu wey still dey prison upon say court say make em go.
“The real CEO of APC don show.
“Do any how criminals.
“REVOLUTION loading.
“APC and hooliganism.
“E be like Buhari bin dey learn work were Jagaban dey.
“Una bin see yesterday display as DSS kidnapped Emefiele yesterday against a court order, in the presence of a judge and within the court premises.”
