Buhari in Imo State: Situation Report as President Buhari visit Imo state

GoldenNewsNg report that Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is happy to commission the strategic projects by the state Governor,  Hope Uzodinmma.  President Buhari said this after the commissioning of the flood control tunnel from Dick Tiger street to otamiri river, Egbeada By-Pass and the Naze/ Nekede/Ihiagwa Road

Buhari  also said the  infrastructure will enable people mind their own business adding that if there is no road and security people wont be able to carry out their day to day activities.

He assured the people of Imo state that of his support within the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria

Flood Control Tunnel from Dick Tiger street to Otamiri river, Egbeada By-Pass and di Naze/ Nekede/Ihiagwa Road.

 

The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma in his statement on Facebook page said  President’s mission to Imo state was to commission some projects.

“With  heart full of gratitude that I and on behalf of the good people of Imo state we welcome His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari to the Eastern Heartland on a working visit to commission some of our completed People oriented projects”. He wrote.

President Muhammadu Buhari will commission some major projects of Governor Hope Uzodimma, Spokes person said.

Oguwike Nwachukwu, Chief Press Secretary to the Imo state governor said  the visit is to also show that federal government has interest for the development of the state.

According to Nwachuckwu projects to be commissioned by President Buhari go commission ;

  • Balloon technology-driven underground tunnel with surface drainage – Chukwuka Nwoha
  • Naze/ Nekede/Ihiagwa Road
  • Egbeada By-Pass – Amakohia
  • Newly Built Exco Chambers – inside government house known as Douglas House.

The President will also participate in a Town Hall Meeting wit South East Leaders.

Meanwhile, security operatives are fully on ground in Owerri, Imo state as they receive president Muhammadu Buhari.

The security operatives are on patrol  as part of the security measures the government put in place to ensure maintain peace  during his visit.

Meanwhile, the turn out by markets and other commercial activities is low today for Owerri.
