In order to commemorate Christmas, Boxing Day, and the start of the new year, the federal government has declared the 26th, 27th, and 2nd of December in 2022, 2023, as public holidays, respectively.
However, employees who are on shift duty, providing emergency or essential services, or working in other units are exempt from this rule and will report to work as usual. Work will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, and Wednesday, December 28, 2022, respectively.
