CBN Recruitment 2023 Update – Management Disowns Fake Recruitment Portal, see update below.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released a statement disowning a fake recruitment portal that has been advertising fake job vacancies purportedly on behalf of the CBN. The CBN has advised Nigerians to ignore the fraudulent website and to be wary of recruitment agents who might try to defraud eligible applicants, particularly young graduates.
The CBN has stated that it is currently not carrying out any recruitment exercise and will never request for the Bank Verification Number (BVN) of intending applicants, nor will it discriminate against persons with physical disabilities. The fake recruitment portal falsely lists BVN possession as a requirement for eligibility, and it further claims that those with physical disabilities are not eligible to apply.
The CBN has urged members of the public to be vigilant and not fall victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes, particularly during this time when many are seeking employment opportunities. It is essential to be cautious and verify the authenticity of any recruitment advertisement or portal before submitting an application or providing any personal information.
