Chelsea Produced A Remarkable Comeback in Thrilling Draw

Chelsea produced a remarkable turnaround and fought back from 3-0 down to share the spoils with West Brom at the Hawthornes.

Goals from Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham spared coach Frank Lampard’s blushes after an embarrassing first half display littered with defensive errors.

West Brom raced to a 3-0 lead before half an hour in a lethargic error prone half for the blues.

Callum Robinson opened the scoring after four minutes, with Marcos Alonso culpable of a sloppy header.

Soon after they were 2-0 up, Robinson pouncing on debutant Thiago Silva’s miscontrol to finish emphatically.

Kyle Bartley turned in the third from a corner after some more slack marking from the visitors.

Chelsea produced a more improved second half display and Mason Mount’s long range strike in the 54th minute halved the deficit.

Substitute Callum Hudson-Odoi’s fine finish in the 70th minute gave the Londoners belief that a comeback is well and truly on.

And on it was when Tammy Abraham in the 95th minute scored the equaliser to hand Chelsea what seemed like an unlikely point after the first 30 minutes.
