Nigerian singer Davido has recalled how he made efforts to promote his early songs before he attained the height that he is now in his musical career. Even though he came from a wealthy background, it was not all a rosy experience for Davido.
Many people especially his fans see his as a success but a few of them know about his struggles to promote his songs when he was not yet popular. At the time that Davido released “Dami Duro” in 2011 he first gave it to Cecil Hammond hoping that he will be signed outside a concert.
He shared the photo of the chat that he had with Cecil in 2011 detailing how he was seeking the promotion of the song. He is likely doing this because many people think that his success in the music industry is as a result of his wealthy background and not his hard work ad persistence.
Davido – “Wow I gave this Dami Duro demo to Cecil Hammond in 2011 hoping to get signed outside a concert haha !!!! I NEED THIS CD!! LIFE IS CRAZY !! I THANK GOD !!”
