Delegates Cheer Okorocha As He Storms Venue Of APC Convention
GoldenNewsNg gathered that the former Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha received cheers from some delegates of the All Progressive Congress as he stormed the venue of the party’s convention in Abuja.
While Rochas Okorocha was walking into the venue some delegates were seen greeting and cheering him up.
Recall that Rochas Okorocha is currently standing trial before a Federal High court sitting in Abuja after he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The two times governor in Imo state between 2011 and 2019 was arraigned on a 17-count money laundering charge, alongside six others.
The charge against them borders on conspiracy and stealing.
According to the EFCC Rochas Okorocha allegedly conspired and diverted funds worth N2.9 billion belonging to Imo State.
However, a federal High Court sitting in Abuja later granted him bail to the tune of N500million with one surety in like sum.
