The All Progressives Congress APC party leaders is pressing on Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the party in the just concluded Edo Election to accept his loss at the Sept 19 polls.
In a meeting with Governor Mai Mala Buni, APC Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Ize-Iyamu was urged to toll the president’s and party line of accepting defeat with congratulatory messages to Governor Obaseki.president’s and party line of accepting defeat with congratulatory messages to Governor Obaseki.
The closed door meeting held at Mala Buni’s Abuja residence was the first public outing of Ize-Iyamu since his defeat.
Aside conceding defeat, Golden news Ng also learnt that the meeting was called to discuss amongst other things, next steps for Ize-Iyamu.
It will be recalled and as reported by yours truly, that president Buhari as well as the leadership of the APC through a statement signed by Buni has since congratulated Obaseki on his victory.
