The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has initiated the training phase for candidates who successfully navigated the job screening and aptitude test conducted in September 2023. This training is a crucial step designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required for their roles within the EFCC.

Purpose of the Training

The primary goal of the EFCC training is to prepare selected candidates for effective service within the commission. The curriculum encompasses both theoretical and practical components, ensuring that trainees are well-versed in the legal and operational aspects of combating economic and financial crimes.

EFCC Training Details

The training is scheduled to take place at the Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, along Lafia Road, Nasarawa State, Nigeria, commencing on Sunday, February 18, 2024. The session is structured to run from 0600hours to 1600hours. Selected candidates have received official invitations, providing comprehensive details about the training schedule and necessary requirements.

Mandatory Items for Trainees

Candidates are required to report for training with specific items to facilitate a uniform and organized learning environment. These mandatory items include:

  • Two plain black shorts
  • Two plain white shorts
  • Two plain round neck white T-shirts
  • Two plain round neck black T-shirts

  • One pair of plain white canvas
  • One pair of plain black canvas
  • Two pairs of plain black stockings
  • Two pairs of plain white stockings
  • One black belt
  • Two plain white bed sheets

EFCC Training Allowance

Acknowledging the financial commitment required during the training period, the EFCC provides a training allowance to support individuals actively engaged in the training process. The amount of the allowance varies based on the educational qualification of the trainees.

  • Trainees with a Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) qualification receive an allowance ranging from N15,000 to N20,000.
  • Graduates undergoing training enjoy a higher allowance, falling within the range of N25,000 to N35,000.

This financial support is a strategic move to assist trainees with their living expenses, ensuring they can concentrate fully on acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles within the commission.

Conclusion

As candidates gear up for their cadet training, this marks a significant progression in the EFCC recruitment process. The commission’s commitment to transparency and a rigorous selection process underscores its mission to combat economic and financial crimes in Nigeria. For additional updates and information, candidates are encouraged to refer to the official EFCC recruitment portal and stay informed about related announcements and opportunities, such as the NG-Cares Business Fund 2024. The EFCC remains steadfast in its pursuit of a safer and economically stable Nigeria.
