How to Apply for EFCC Recruitment in Nigeria: Requirements and Process

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is a Nigerian law enforcement agency established in 2003 to investigate financial crimes such as internet fraud, money laundering, advance fee fraud, and more. The agency also enforces economic and financial laws in Nigeria and has prosecuted several high-profile individuals involved in financial crimes. EFCC recruitment is open to young and qualified Nigerians who meet the agency’s requirements. In this post, we will provide a guide on how to apply for EFCC recruitment in Nigeria.

Requirements for EFCC Recruitment

To be eligible for EFCC recruitment, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years old.
  2. Marital status: Only single applicants are eligible to apply.
  3. Height: Male applicants must be at least 1.67 metres tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.64 metres tall.
  4. Education: Applicants must possess the original copies of their relevant educational certificates. Statement of results and/or online printouts are not accepted.
  5. Health: Applicants must be physically, mentally, and medically fit, with good hearing and eyesight.
  6. Criminal record: Applicants must not have any criminal record, and must not have tattoos on their bodies.

EFCC Recruitment Process

EFCC recruitment is conducted as the need arises. To apply for EFCC recruitment, follow the steps below:

  1. Check for available vacancies: Visit the EFCC portal (https://www.efcc.gov.ng/efcc/careers)  to check for any active vacancies.
  2. Obtain a recruitment form: If there is an active vacancy, proceed to the nearest EFCC office to obtain a recruitment form.
  3. Fill and submit the form: Fill the form and submit it back to the EFCC office.
  4. Wait for screening and interview: Wait for the screening exercise and interview invitation.

EFCC Screening Process

EFCC recruitment is a highly sensitive process, and applicants are thoroughly screened before they are offered provisional employment. The screening process includes:

  1. Medical examination: EFCC conducts a medical check on all potential employees to ascertain their true medical conditions.
  2. Verification of documents: EFCC verifies all documents submitted by candidates.
  3. Illegal drug test: EFCC conducts a thorough drug test on all candidates to ensure they do not employ drug-addicted individuals.
  4. Credit and record check: EFCC checks the credit and records of applicants.
  5. Interview with former employers, friends, colleagues, teachers, neighbors, and so on.
