Jack Butland, a goalkeeper on loan from Crystal Palace, was signed by Manchester United for two main reasons, according to the club.
Goldennewsng reports that John Murtough, the director of football for Manchester United, stated that the Red Devils signed Butland because of his “mentality and personality.”
He claims that those two qualities will be a real asset to the team as a whole and the outstanding goalkeepers at the club.
On its website, Man United had posted an official confirmation of Butland’s signing on Friday morning.
“Jack is a great goalkeeper who has had a lot of success in his career. Murtaugh stated, “His mentality and personality will be a real asset to our excellent goalkeeper group and the entire squad.”
“Jack, David, Tom, and our young keepers make up a strong group that will work together to create the best training and playing environment possible. We are all eagerly anticipating his inclusion in the group.
