Everything You Need to Know About JAMB 2025 Registration and Examination

JAMB 2025 Registration & Fees

Registration Period

The registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) began on Monday, February 3, 2025, and will close on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Candidates should register as early as possible to avoid any last-minute rush or issues.

JAMB 2025 Registration Fees

The cost of registering for the 2025 UTME depends on whether a candidate is taking the optional mock examination. Below is the breakdown:

For Direct Entry (DE) candidates, the total fee is ₦5,700. Candidates opting for a mock trial test will pay an additional ₦3,500.

JAMB 2025 Registration Requirements

To ensure a smooth registration process, candidates must have the following:

  • Valid Email Address & Phone Number – Essential for communication and receiving registration details.
  • National Identification Number (NIN) – Mandatory for registration.
  • O’Level Results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) – Can be uploaded later if not available at the time of registration.
  • Biometric Data Capture – Conducted at JAMB-accredited centers.
  • Minimum Age Requirement – Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.

How to Register for JAMB 2025

Step 1: Obtain Your NIN

Candidates must first obtain their National Identification Number (NIN) from an approved National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office or any accredited center.

Step 2: Create a JAMB Profile

Send an SMS with your NIN to 55019 or 66019 in this format:

NIN 12345678901

You will receive a Profile Code on your registered phone number.

Step 3: Purchase the JAMB e-PIN

Use your Profile Code to buy the JAMB e-PIN through:

  • Any accredited bank
  • POS terminals
  • Online payment platforms

Step 4: Visit an Accredited CBT Centre

Head to a JAMB-accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre with your e-PIN to complete the registration. Provide personal details, select your preferred institutions and courses, and have your biometric data captured.

Step 5: Collect Your Registration Materials

After successful registration, candidates will receive:

  • A compulsory reading text
  • Other essential examination materials

JAMB 2025 Examination Dates

The 2025 UTME is scheduled to take place from Friday, April 25, 2025, to Monday, May 5, 2025. Each candidate will be assigned a specific exam date within this period.

Important Notes:

  • Examination slips containing venue details and time will be available for reprinting before the exam.
  • Ensure you check your exam slip early to avoid confusion.

The Use of English exam in the 2025 UTME will be based on the book “The Lekki Headmaster” by Kabir Alabi Garba. Candidates will receive a copy of this text during registration and are expected to read it thoroughly.
