The corona virus lock down did not allow many workers in Nigeria to realize that May 1 was workers day which use to be celebrated globally with rallies and statement from public officials on how best to take care of the welfare of workers at all levels. However, celebrity Omotola Jelade Ekehinde has reminded workers after she wished them a happy workers day via her Instagram handle.
The nollywood actress Omotola is among the few celebrities who have not publicly distributed food materials or other supports to people in need as a result of the lock down so she probably used the opportunity of workers day to not just show concern for workers but also to contribute something.
Omotola who seemed passionate like never before asked her fans to advertise their businesses in the comment section of her post with a promise that she is going to select some of their businesses for support as part of her contribution to workers welfare in Nigeria.
Omotola hardly stars in movies lately but she has been behind the scene coaching young aspiring actors and being a very viable connection for young actors and actresses to get deals with reputable producers and movie directors because she is a key player in nollywood.
