In a significant step towards tackling youth unemployment and promoting digital financial literacy, the Federal Government has launched a new training initiative aimed at empowering Nigerian youths with skills in foreign exchange (Forex) trading.

The program, which follows a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Investonaire Academy, is designed to train 100,000 young Nigerians each year in the fast-evolving world of Forex trading, risk management, and investment planning.

The agreement was formally sealed in Abuja, marking the start of what stakeholders describe as a practical solution to joblessness and economic uncertainty facing many Nigerian youths.

Unlike conventional empowerment schemes, this initiative goes beyond theory. Young participants will be introduced to hands-on training in Forex markets, including technical analysis, money management, and long-term wealth-building strategies.

The Minister of Youth Development, who spoke during the launch, said the government’s goal is to equip young Nigerians with real-world skills that can help them generate income independently.

“We’re no longer training for training’s sake. We’re building a skilled generation that understands global finance and can create value from anywhere in the world,” the minister said.

How to Register for the Forex Training Program

Young Nigerians interested in the program can now register via the official Investonaire Academy website. The portal is currently accepting entries on a waiting list basis, which will be followed by direct enrollment once training sessions begin.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Nigerian youths between the ages of 18 and 35

  • Passionate individuals looking to build a career in digital finance

  • No prior experience in Forex trading is required

What You’ll Learn

The curriculum is designed to take participants from basic to advanced levels, including:

  • Understanding how Forex markets work

  • Identifying profitable trading opportunities

  • Managing risks and avoiding common trading mistakes

  • Building personal and business financial plans

  • Setting up and operating trading accounts professionally

Why This Matters

Forex trading is one of the most dynamic global financial sectors, with trillions traded daily. By learning to navigate this space, Nigerian youths can become independent earners and even job creators. The initiative also aligns with the government’s broader vision to build a tech-savvy, self-sufficient workforce.

Program Highlights

  • Completely free training for all selected candidates

  • Courses delivered by experts in the field

  • Certification on completion

  • Access to advanced tools and mentorship

  • Ongoing support through alumni networks and updates

What’s Next?

Once registration is confirmed, selected participants will receive onboarding details including training schedules and access to virtual classrooms.

Participants are encouraged to take the training seriously, as outstanding trainees may also be linked to funding opportunities and internships in the financial sector.

In a time when financial independence has become more important than ever, this initiative gives Nigerian youths a chance to learn, grow, and earn in a digital economy.

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35 and ready to gain real financial skills, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
