The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched an application portal for artisans, trainees, and technicians to register for cash grants totaling Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000).

This initiative, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, seeks to rejuvenate technical and vocational learning institutions nationwide.

Purpose and Scope

Outlined by the National Orientation Agency (NOA), these cash grants aim to nurture Nigeria’s entrepreneurial spirit and empower individuals towards self-reliance.

The initiative also includes startup tool kits, providing comprehensive support for those venturing into or expanding businesses within various vocational fields.

“The office of the senior special adviser to the president on technical vocational and entrepreneurship education presents N500,000 cash grants with startup tool kits also up for grabs,” stated the NOA.

“Are you a technician, artisan or trainee in any vocational field? Do you need funds or tool kits to establish or expand your business?”

Kindly keep in mind that this initiative provides a sum of 500,000 Nigerian Naira to individuals falling into the categories of artisans, trainees, and technicians. Let’s break down these terms:

Eligible Categories

  1. Artisans: Skilled workers specializing in specific trades or crafts, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and mechanics.
  2. Trainees: Individuals undergoing training to acquire skills or education relevant to a particular profession or craft.
