FG to Recruit 30,150 Personnel into Immigration, NSCDC, Fire and Correctional Services – See Details
If you’ve been job hunting or waiting for a federal recruitment opportunity, this might be your sign to get ready. A memo, reportedly from the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has surfaced, and it’s pointing to something massive.
Dated June 3, 2025, and signed by Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) AM Jibril, the Secretary of CDCFIB, the memo claims that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given the go-ahead for a large-scale recruitment exercise across four major paramilitary agencies.
No official press release has confirmed it yet, but here’s what we found in the document making rounds online.
Recruitment Breakdown: Over 30,000 Slots to Be Filled
According to the leaked memo, the President has approved the recruitment of 30,150 new personnel into the following government agencies:
Nigerian Correctional Service – 5,150 positions
Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) – 10,000 positions
Federal Fire Service (FFS) – 5,000 positions
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) – 10,000 positions
CDCFIB Secretariat – 209 positions
This would be one of the largest recruitment waves in recent memory. If confirmed, it could open the door for thousands of unemployed graduates, diploma holders, and even SSCE certificate holders looking for stable federal jobs.

Why This Matters Now
With rising unemployment, many young Nigerians are actively looking for opportunities, and the paramilitary sector has always attracted applicants thanks to its job security and career progression potential.
What makes this memo stand out even more is that it includes a financial clearance from the Budget Office of the Federation, signaling that funding for the recruitment may already be in place.
Shorter Application Window Might Be Approved
Interestingly, the memo also mentions that the Board is seeking a waiver to reduce the newspaper advert period from the traditional six weeks to just three weeks.
“The Board is seeking waiver for advert placement in the national dailies to run for a period of three (3) weeks as against the statutory six (6) weeks required by law,” the memo stated.
That means if this plan is approved and kicks off soon, interested applicants will need to act fast.

Here are some tips if you’re hoping to apply:
Keep your credentials and documents ready (NYSC, WAEC, certificates).
Prepare your scanned passport photo and birth certificate in advance.
Watch out for official updates on the CDCFIB or NSCDC portal.
