The Federation Of International Football Association has banned the Confederation Of African Football President Ahmad Ahmad for 5 years. Ahmad was found guilty by the Adjudicatory Chamber of the Independent Ethics Committee for breaching the Article 15 (Duty of loyalty), Article 20 (Offering and Accepting gifts or other benefits) Article 25 (Abuse of Position) of the 2020 Edition of the FIFA code of Ethics as well as Article 28 (Misappropriation of Funds) of the 2018 edition.
The ban is coming after several investigation at the manner at which CAF is being governed and several activities linked with the misappropriation of funds.
Ahmad has been banned from football related activities (administrative, sports or any other) at both national and international level for 5 years, In addendum was a fine of CHF 200,000 imposed on him as well.
He was notified today, the day which the ban comes into force. In accordance with Article 78 Paragraph 2 of the FIFA Code Of Ethics, the full motivated decision would be made known to Mr Ahmad Ahmad in the next 60 days after which it would then be published on legal.fifa.com
