Are you looking for the approved JAMB CBT centres in FCT Abuja for the 2025/2026 UTME registration and examination? If yes, then you are in the right place.

In this article, we will provide you with the complete list of the JAMB CBT centers in FCT Abuja, as well as important information and tips on how to register and prepare for the UTME.

What is JAMB CBT?

JAMB CBT stands for Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Computer-Based Test. It is the mode of conducting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which is the entrance examination for admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions.

The JAMB CBT was introduced in 2014 to replace the paper and pencil test (PPT) and dual-based test (DBT) that were previously used by JAMB. It is designed to be more efficient, reliable, secure, and transparent than the previous modes of testing.

The JAMB CBT is conducted in accredited and approved centres across the country, where candidates use computers to answer multiple-choice questions based on four subjects of their choice. The UTME is usually held between March and April every year, and the results are released within a few days after the examination.

Why Do You Need to Register at an Approved JAMB CBT Centre?

It is very important that you register for the UTME at an approved JAMB CBT centre in your preferred location. This is because only accredited CBT centres and JAMB offices are allowed to register candidates for the UTME.

If you register at an unapproved centre, you risk losing your money, data, and eligibility to sit for the UTME.

Registering at an approved JAMB CBT centre ensures:

  • Access to a good computer system, internet connection, and power supply
  • Security during the registration and examination processes
  • Ability to print out your e-slip, which contains your exam details, centre name, address, and other vital information

How to Register for the UTME at an Approved JAMB CBT Centre?

To register for the UTME at an approved JAMB CBT centre, follow these steps:

  1. Create a profile on the JAMB portal using your valid email address and phone number.
  2. Obtain a confirmation code from JAMB via SMS or email.
  3. Purchase a JAMB e-PIN from any authorized bank or online platform using your confirmation code.
  4. Visit any of the approved JAMB CBT centres in FCT Abuja with your e-PIN, confirmation code, personal data, and O’Level results (if available).
  5. Complete your biometric verification, photograph capture, and registration form at the CBT centre.
  6. Print out your e-registration slip and keep it safely.

How Much Does It Cost to Register for the UTME at an Approved JAMB CBT Centre?

The total cost of registering for the UTME at an approved JAMB CBT centre is ₦4,700, which includes:

  • ₦3,500 for the UTME fee
  • ₦500 for the reading text
  • ₦700 for the service charge

Additional charges may apply for other services such as:

  • Correction of data
  • Change of course or institution
  • Printing of result slip or admission letter

Steps for Registration at Approved Centres

  1. Create a JAMB Profile: Use a valid email address and phone number.
  2. Obtain Confirmation Code: Receive it via SMS or email.
  3. Purchase JAMB e-PIN: Buy from authorized banks or online platforms.
  4. Visit an Approved Centre: Bring your e-PIN, confirmation code, personal data, and O’level results (if available).
  5. Complete Registration: Include biometric verification and photo capture.
