Gareth Bale, a star player for Tottenham and Real Madrid, has announced his retirement from club and international football.
Goldennewsng reports that after leading Wales to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Bale retired at the age of 33.
Los Angeles FC, an American Major League Soccer club, was his final team.
On Monday, Bale issued a lengthy statement that read: I am pleased to announce my immediate retirement from club and international football after careful consideration.
Bale expressed his gratitude to his former teams, LAFC, Real Madrid, Southampton, and Tottenham, as well as his family and all those who had an impact on his sporting life.
