The Governor of Edo State ,Godwin Obaseki has reportedly rejected Adams Oshiomhole and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu congratulatory message.
Recall, the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the certificate forgery suit filed against Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Oshiomhole in a letter to Obaseki by his media aide, Victor Oshioke, said: “Congratulations on your victory at the Supreme Court, which has effectively laid to rest all matters arising from the last election.
“I have put all behind me and moved on. As I have consistently advised, please be magnanimous in victory. You are the governor of all Edo people regardless of political leanings.”
In separate congratulatory messages, Oshiomhole and Ize-Iyamu have both appealed to the Edo State Governor to be magnanimous in victory.

According to report gathered, Edo state Governor, while addressing a large gathering on Tuesday as part of the celebration to mark his victory, Obaseki said if the opposition (APC) party leaders were serious about their congratulatory letter, they would have printed it on a letterhead paper with a signature rather than posting it on the internet.
He stated that Edo will never fall for such cheap messages called congratulatory letters, adding that they are not serious.
“na today, na today we do election, na today we win?” Obaseki asked the crowd.
“The APC in Abuja is being run just like what they did in Edo when they were in power in Edo State. There is a problem in Nigeria,” he added.
“The country has money but until we change our mind set that taxpayers money must be used to work for the people and not for very few. We have to pray that what happened in Edo will happen in Abuja.
‘’The only party that has the right people for the job is the People Democratic Party (PDP) come 2023. Forward ever, backward never.”
