A Nigerian graduate on Instagram who bears the name Its Jachuu has called out to the celebrity and musician Davido to help his life. The Nigerian graduate who disclosed neither his qualification or school made the appeal in a comment to a post made by the singer Davido.
Davido had shared a photo to celebrate his brothers birthday on his Instagram handle. he even said that he was going to be drunk because of the celebrations and that caught the attention of the graduate who has likely been thrown out of job.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the graduate studied Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (BSc). His case is now one among many incidents of graduates begging celebrities for money on social media. This cast some shadows on the idea that education is the key to success in this part of the world where thousands of graduates are struggling to survive.
While some celebrities takeout time to go through the comments on their post, many of them go unnoticed. Graduates in Nigeria are not happy with the systems that have produced them to be unemployable and jobless at a time like this.
