About the Green Money Project

The Green Money Project is a national agricultural empowerment scheme that aims to identify, train, and empower young Nigerians to actively participate in the agricultural sector. The program focuses on equipping participants with modern farming techniques, agribusiness knowledge, and the tools needed to succeed in a competitive market.

According to the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, “The goal is to cultivate youth in agriculture, build agribusiness skills and strengthen our national food systems.”

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the Green Money Project, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be between 18 and 40 years old

  2. Must be a Nigerian citizen or permanent resident

  3. Must possess at least a secondary school education

  4. Must reside in any of the 36 states or the Federal Capital Territory

  5. Must show interest or experience in agriculture or agribusiness

  6. Must be willing to participate in training programs and workshops

  7. Must demonstrate a genuine interest in starting or expanding an agricultural business

  8. Must possess basic computer and smartphone literacy

  9. Must be physically capable of engaging in agricultural activities

  10. Must not have previously benefited from similar government agricultural programs

  11. Must have a valid government-issued identification (National ID, Voter’s Card, or Driver’s License)

If you meet the above requirements, follow these steps to apply:

Step 1: Visit the Official Registration Portal
Go to https://thegreenmoneyproject.ng/registration

Step 2: Complete the Application Form
Provide your personal details, outline your experience or interest in agriculture, and upload a copy of your valid government-issued ID.

Step 3: Submit Your Application
After submission, applications will be reviewed and screened.

Step 4: Await Shortlisting and Orientation
Successful applicants will be contacted for further steps, including orientation sessions and agribusiness training workshops.
